Your information, handled properly
Privacy Policy
Effective 8 July 2026
This policy explains how [REGISTERED BUSINESS NAME] (ABN [ABN]), trading as Daimo ("we", "us"), handles personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. What we collect
- Account details — your email address, name, and password (stored as a secure hash).
- Business details — business name, ABN, trade licence number, phone number, and your logo if you upload one.
- Team details — names and usernames of employees you add to your account.
- Job information — what you tell Daimo about a job: voice notes, their transcripts, typed notes, site addresses, and the names of workers you mention.
- Generated documents — your SWMS/JSA documents, including sign-off names and signatures.
- Billing status — your plan and payment status. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Technical logs — basic service logs used to run and secure the platform. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
2. Voice notes
Your voice recording is sent securely for transcription and used to generate your document. We don't keep the audio after it's processed — the transcript becomes part of your document record, which you can edit.
3. How we use your information
- To generate your safety documents and sync them across your team's devices.
- To manage your account, seats, and billing.
- To provide support and keep the service secure.
We do not sell personal information, and we don't use your documents to train AI models.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small set of service providers to run Daimo, some of which process data outside Australia (mainly the United States):
- Supabase — hosting, database, and file storage (accounts, documents, logos).
- OpenAI — voice-note transcription.
- Anthropic — document generation from your job description.
- Stripe — subscription payments.
- Cloudflare — this website and email routing.
Each provider receives only what it needs for its role. We don't share your information with anyone else except where required by law.
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit; access is restricted so that your team's documents are visible only to your own business's accounts; and generation keys are held server-side, never on your device.
6. Access, correction and deletion
- You can view and edit your business details and documents in the app.
- You can delete your account in the app (Account → Delete account), which removes your account data from our systems.
- Before deleting, export any signed documents you need — WHS record-keeping obligations for safety documents are yours, and deletion is permanent.
- For help with access or correction, email hello@daimo.com.au.
7. Data breaches
If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we'll notify affected users and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
8. Complaints
Contact us first at hello@daimo.com.au and we'll respond promptly. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the OAIC (oaic.gov.au).
9. Changes
We'll post any changes to this policy here and update the effective date above.
